I have been working in the Ph.D. Program (UofS), Engineering Department, Division Biomedical Engineering.
Currently, with support of the Prof. Jerzy Szpunar and Akindele Odeshi, we are interested in enhancing the ballistic
impact resistance of protective composite armor by dispersion of micro and nano-fillers as additional reinforcements
in the polymer matrix.
1.Dynamic impact response of biocomposite plates made of HDPE reinforced with Chonta palm wood (Bactris gasipaes) microparticles.
2.Investigation of the effects of addition of nano-fillers on the dynamic impact response of hybrid composite plates made of HDPE reinforced with Kevlar pulp.
3.Synthesis and characterization of hybrid biocomposites consisting of HDPE reinforced with chonta palm powders and Kevlar pulp under dynamic impact loading.
