M.Sc. Candidate

Ebenezer Essilfie

My name is Ebenezer Essilfie and I am a Ghanaian. I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in June 2010 from the University of Mines and Technology, Ghana. My undergraduate research was on the use of bauxite as a filter for arsenic removal from mine waste waters. I also did a research on the impact of small scale mining and their mitigations in Ghana. After my first degree, I was trained by AngloGold Ashanti Mines as a plant metallurgist and worked on a project, “the effect of residual ions on bio-oxidation of gold”. My Master’s degree is in Mechanical Engineering, under the supervision of Prof Jerzy Szpunar and Prof. Ajay Dalai in the University of Saskatchewan, Canada. I am working on the modification of surface properties of cold saturated brine solutions for potash flotation using amines and organic additives. I am a self-motivated individual with the characteristic ability of working to meet set targets. My interest is in Mineral Processing and I have expertise in gold processing. I like travelling and sightseeing. At my leisure hours, I play soccer; that’s my hobby :)
