I am studying the Transition Metal/Graphene materials for hydrogen storage. I have been working on the preparation and characterization of the materials. My colleagues and I are also building a Thermal Desorption Spectroscopy apparatus for the measurement of hydrogen uptake. The chemical and electronic structures of these materials are investigated by X-ray absorption techniques, and this detailed study facilitates a better understanding of the interaction between transition metal and Graphene, as well as sorption mechanism of hydrogen in the sorbents.
